Bombardier's Global 8000 jet receives certification from US aviation regulator

Dec 19 (Reuters) - ⁠Bombardier's ⁠Global ‍8000 business jet, the world's ‍fastest civilian plane since ​the Concorde, has ​received certification from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration, the Canadian ​planemaker said on Friday.

The Global ​8000 jet has a top speed ‌of Mach 0.95, or about 729 miles ​per hour.

The ⁠ultra-long range aircraft, which entered ‌into service earlier this month, received certification ‌from Canada's transport regulator, ‌Transport Canada on November 5, 2025.

Certification from the European ‍Union Aviation Safety Agency is ⁠pending, Bombardier said.
