(Reuters) -A Texas federal judge dismissed a lawsuit brought by health insurer Humana challenging the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' reduction in its star ratings for government-funded Medicare plans.
Humana filed the lawsuit in September 2023 in the Northern District of Texas against the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and former Health Secretary Xavier Becerra.

BEIJING (Reuters) -Major automakers should push for "rational competition" in the electric vehicle industry, a senior Chinese official said on Thursday, according to a statement from the industry ministry published on Friday.
The comments from Che Jun, head of a Communist Party central leading group, came a day after China's cabinet pledged to regulate what it called "irrational" competition in the EV market and vowed to strengthen price-monitoring.

(Reuters) -Netflix shares declined more than 5% in early trading on Friday, as investors were disappointed by the streaming giant's revenue forecast raise being driven by a weaker dollar instead of strong customer demand.
The stock has nearly doubled in value in the last 12 months, pushing Netflix's market value above $540 billion, more than the combined worth of Disney, Comcast, and Warner Bros. Discovery.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -John Moolenaar, chairman of the House Select Committee on China, on Friday objected to the resumption of Nvidia H20 equivalent graphics processing unit sales to China in a letter to U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -U.S. consumer sentiment improved in July, and while inflation expectations continued to decline, households still saw substantial risk of price pressures increasing in the future.
The University of Michigan's Surveys of Consumers on Friday said its Consumer Sentiment Index rose to 61.8 this month from a final reading of 60.7 in June. Economists polled by Reuters had forecast the index would increase to 61.5.
