Algerian army kills seven militants, three soldiers die in clashes

TUNIS, ‌March 13 (Reuters) - ​Algerian ​army units killed ‌seven armed militants in ⁠two separate ‌counterterrorism operations in ‌the northeastern province of Tebessa, while ​three soldiers were also ⁠killed in the clashes, ​the defence ministry said on Friday.

Troops ​recovered seven ‌Kalashnikov rifles, a large ⁠quantity of ammunition and other ⁠military equipment, the ministry ​added.

President Abdelmadjid Tebboune offered his condolences to ‌the families of the soldiers.
