bebe stores, inc. (Nasdaq: BEBE) said August same store sales increased 12.5%, versus the consensus of 11.4%. The company reported retail sales of $49.2 million for the four-week period ended August 26, 2006, an increase of 25.5% compared to sales of $39.2 million for the four-week period ended August 27, 2005.
