ZUMZ Reports May 2005 Sales Results

Zumiez Inc. (NASDAQ: ZUMZ) announced that total net sales for the four-week period ended May 28, 2005 increased 31.3% to $10.7 million, compared to $8.2 million for the four-week period ended May 29, 2004. The company's comparable store sales increased 10.2% for the past month, versus a comparable store sales increase of 6.9% in the year ago period. Comparable store sales percentage changes are calculated by comparing comparable store sales for the past month to comparable store sales for the year ago period. Comparable store sales are based on net sales, and stores are considered comparable beginning on the first anniversary of their first day of operation.
