Wilsons The Leather Experts Inc. (NASDAQ: WLSN) reported sales of $16.3 million for the four weeks ended September 1, 2007 as compared to $15.8 million for the four weeks ended August 26, 2006. Year-to-date sales for the Company's stores decreased 15.9% to $117.5 million compared to $139.7 million for the same period last year.
Comparable store sales decreased 0.2% for the four weeks ended September 1, 2007; this decrease compares to an 18.5% decrease in comparable store sales for the four weeks ended August 26, 2006. Year-to-date comparable store sales decreased 15.1% compared to a decrease of 13.7% for the same period last year.
