Wedbush initiated coverage on Express Inc. (NYSE: EXPR) with a Neutral rating and price target of $20.00.
Analyst Morry Brown said, "We see offsetting factors at play in EXPR's P&L in 2014. On the positive side, we expect SSS to accelerate to 3% in 1Q14 from 1% in 4Q13. We also look for inventory to be more aligned with sales trends, setting up the potential for margin improvement. However, the company has reported merchandise margin declines in 7 of the last 8 quarters, a concerning trend that suggests pricing power remains a key issue in a competitive retail environment."
