Walgreens (WAG) Offers August Comparable-Store Sales Metrics, Q4 Sales Figure
Walgreens (NYSE: WAG) reports August sales of $6.1 billion, up 7.8 percent from the same month last year. Same-store sales during the month rose 5.6 percent.
Total front-end sales rose 6.8 percent, while same-store front-end sales rose 4.8 percent.
Prescriptions filled at comparable stores rose 6.2 percent during the month.
Pharmacy sales were up 7.6 percent. Same-store pharmacy sales were up 6.1 percent.
Total Q4 sales came in at $17.94 billion, up 6.4 percent during the year-ago quarter.
Total front-end sales rose 6.8 percent, while same-store front-end sales rose 4.8 percent.
