Walgreens (WAG) November Same-Store Sales Rise By 4.4%
Walgreens (NYSE: WAG) today announced sales for November totaled $4.77 billion, a 9.5% increase from November of last year. Same-store sales rose about 4.4%.
Pharmacy sales, which accounted for about 65% of total sales for November, rose 10.6%, or about 5.5% on a same-store basis.
Walgreens said that November sales were hurt by issues in seasonal categories, including a mild early flu season. Walgreens saw consumables and everyday electronics as performing well during November.
Walgreen Co. operates a chain of drugstores in the United States. These drugstores sell prescription and non-prescription drugs, and general merchandise.
