Walgreens (WAG) March Same Store Sales Rise 1.5%
Walgreens (NYSE: WAG) reports March sales of $5.458 billion, 6.8% higher than the $5.109 billion reported in the same period last year. Same store sales rose 1.5%, with same store front-end sales down 5.6%.
March sales were hurt by last year's March Easter compared with an April Easter this year. The company will report sales for the combined months of March and April 2009 next month.
