Walgreens' (WAG) Same Store Sales Rise 4.4% in March
Walgreens (NYSE: WAG) today announced March sales came in at $5.11 billion, a 10.6% increase from $4.62 billion in March '07. Same store sales rose 4.4%, while same store front-end sales increased by 11.3%.
Walgreens' pharmacy sales rose 6.9% and on a comparable basis rose 0.8%. The Company said that pharmacy sales account for 64.5% of total sales during the month.
