Walgreen (WAG) June Comps Rise 9%

Walgreen Co. (NYSE: WAG) said June sales in comparable stores (those open at least a year) rose 9%. Total June sales were $3,993,580,000, an increase of 14.2%.
June pharmacy sales increased 16.0 percent, while comparable pharmacy sales increased 11.6 percent. Total prescriptions filled at comparable stores increased 6.5 percent. Pharmacy sales accounted for 66.0 percent of total sales for the month.
