Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. (NYSE: WMT) said total June Comparable store sales (Without Fuel), for the five-week period ending July 6, 2007, rose 2.4%. Comparable sales rose 1.6% at Wal-Mart and 6.9% at Sam's Club.
The Company expects comparable store sales for the July four-week reporting period to be between 1 and 2 percent.
The Company estimates that earnings per share from continuing operations for the second quarter of fiscal year 2008 will continue to be within their previously stated guidance of $0.75 to $0.79.
