WMT Said Jan Sales Rose 4.7%

Wal-Mart (NYSE: WMT) said US same store sales for the period ending Jan. 27th grew 4.7%. The company had expected 3%-5% growth. Wal-Mart said demand for groceries outpaced general merchandise sales.
