WLSN Announces February Comparable Store Sales Increase of 7.8%

Wilsons The Leather Experts Inc. (NASDAQ: WLSN) reported sales of $33.2 million for the four weeks ended February 26, 2005, for its Wilsons Leather stores compared to $43.8 million for the four weeks ended February 28, 2004. Sales for the month of February of 2004 included approximately $10.8 million in liquidation sales resulting from the transfer of inventory to an independent liquidator. Comparable store sales increased 7.8% for the four weeks ended February 26, 2005; this increase compares to a 0.8% decrease in comparable store sales for the four weeks ended February 28, 2004. Comparable store sales for the month of February of 2004 do not include sales from the stores that were liquidated.
