The Wet Seal, Inc. (Nasdaq: WTSLA) reported that comparable store sales increased 8.7% for the four-week period ended August 26, 2006, compared with an increase of 48.3% in the same period a year ago.
Net sales for the four-week period ended August 26, 2006 were $51.2 million, compared with net sales of $45.4 million in the same period last year, an increase of 12.7%.
The Company indicated that for September, it expects a comparable store sales increase in the low to mid single digits.
