The Buckle (NYSE: BKE) announced that comparable store net sales, for stores open at least one year, for the 5-week period ended July 5, 2014 increased 0.7 percent from comparable store net sales for the 5-week period ended July 6, 2013. Net sales for the 5-week fiscal period ended July 5, 2014 increased 2.8 percent to $84.8 million from net sales of $82.5 million for the prior year 5-week fiscal period ended July 6, 2013.
Comparable store net sales year-to-date for the 22-week period ended July 5, 2014 decreased 0.9 percent from comparable store net sales for the 22-week period ended July 6, 2013. Net sales for the 22-week fiscal period ended July 5, 2014 increased 0.8 percent to $428.4 million from net sales of $425.0 million for the prior year 22-week fiscal period ended July 6, 2013.
