The Buckle, Inc. (NYSE: BKE) announced today that comparable store net sales, for stores open at least one year, for the 5-week period ended January 2, 2016 decreased 5.4 percent from comparable store net sales for the 5-week period ended January 3, 2015. Net sales for the 5-week fiscal month ended January 2, 2016 decreased 4.5 percent to $182.1 million from net sales of $190.6 million for the prior year 5-week fiscal month ended January 3, 2015.
Comparable store net sales year-to-date for the 48-week period ended January 2, 2016 decreased 4.0 percent from comparable store net sales for the 48-week period ended January 3, 2015. Net sales for the 48-week fiscal period ended January 2, 2016 decreased 2.5 percent to $1.067 billion from net sales of $1.094 billion for the prior year 48-week fiscal period ended January 3, 2015.
