The Buckle, Inc. (NYSE: BKE) announced that comparable store net sales, for stores open at least one year, for the five-week period ended April 2, 2016 decreased 11.8 percent in comparison to comparable store net sales for the five-week period ended April 4, 2015. Net sales for the five-week fiscal month ended April 2, 2016 decreased 11.0 percent to $96.6 million compared to net sales of $108.5 million for the prior year five-week fiscal month ended April 4, 2015.
Comparable store net sales year-to-date for the nine-week period ended April 2, 2016 decreased 10.5 percent from comparable store net sales for the nine-week period ended April 4, 2015. Net sales for the nine-week fiscal period ended April 2, 2016 decreased 9.5 percent to $178.4 million from net sales of $197.1 million for the prior year nine-week fiscal period ended April 4, 2015.
