The Buckle, Inc. (NYSE: BKE) announced today that comparable store net sales, for stores open at least one year, for the four-week period ended May 1, 2010 decreased 5.7 percent from comparable store net sales for the four-week period ended May 2, 2009. Net sales for the four-week fiscal month ended May 1, 2010 decreased 1.1 percent to $58.4 million from net sales of $59.1 million for the prior year four-week fiscal month ended May 2, 2009.
Comparable store net sales year-to-date for the thirteen-week period ended May 1, 2010 increased 2.8 percent from comparable store net sales for the thirteen-week period ended May 2, 2009. Net sales for the thirteen-week fiscal period ended May 1, 2010 increased 7.6 percent to $214.8 million from net sales of $199.7 million for the prior year thirteen-week fiscal period ended May 2, 2009.
Comparable store net sales year-to-date for the thirteen-week period ended May 1, 2010 increased 2.8 percent from comparable store net sales for the thirteen-week period ended May 2, 2009. Net sales for the thirteen-week fiscal period ended May 1, 2010 increased 7.6 percent to $214.8 million from net sales of $199.7 million for the prior year thirteen-week fiscal period ended May 2, 2009.
