The TJX Companies, Inc. (NYSE: TJX) reported March 2007 sales results.
Sales for the five-week period ended April 7, 2007, were $1.7 billion, up 11% over the $1.5 billion achieved during the five-week period ended April 8, 2006. For the nine weeks ended April 7, 2007, sales reached $2.9 billion, a 9% increase over last year's $2.6 billion.
Consolidated comparable store sales for the five-week period ended April 7, 2007, increased 6% over last year. For the nine-week, year-to-date period, consolidated comparable store sales increased 5% over last year.
