SkyWest (SKYW) Load Factor Rose 1.1 Points in November

SkyWest, Inc. (NASDAQ: SKYW) reported a 10.8% increase in departures to 108,924 for November compared to 98,298 for the same period last year. Passenger boardings for November increased 12.4% to 4,450,215 compared to 3,957,560 for the same period last year. SkyWest also reported a 15.9% increase in revenue passenger miles (RPMs) for November, while available seat miles (ASMs) increased 14.3% compared to November 2010.

The combined airlines generated 2.34 billion RPMs for the month, while ASMs increased to 2.91 billion. Load factor was 80.3 percent compared to 79.2 percent, up 1.1 percentage points compared to November 2010. The substantial increases for the year-to-date numbers below are due primarily to the acquisition of ExpressJet Airlines on November 12, 2010.
