Saks, Inc. (NYSE: SKS) reported total sales were up 9.5 percent to $307.4 million for the five weeks, ended October 6, 2007 from $280.8 million for the five weeks, ended September 30, 2006. Comparable store sales increased 7.7 percent for the five-week period.
