Rite Aid Corporation (NYSE: RAD) reports July same store sales rose 4.1% over the prior-year period. Pharmacy same store sales increased 4.6%, while front-end same store sales increased 3.3%.
Total drugstore sales for the four-week period increased 1.8 percent to $1.287 billion compared to $1.264 billion for the same period last year. Prescription revenue accounted for 63.4 percent of drugstore sales, and third party prescription revenue represented 95.3 percent of pharmacy sales.
