Rite Aid Corporation (NYSE: RAD) announces comps were down 0.9% in September.
September front-end same store sales decreased 0.3 percent while pharmacy same store sales, which included an approximate 233 basis points negative impact from new generic introductions, declined 1.2 percent. Prescriptions filled at comparable stores decreased 1.3 percent over the prior-year period.
YTD comps were down 1.2%.
