Retail Ventures (RVI) Reports Retail Sales Down 4.3%

Retail Ventures, Inc. (NYSE: RVI) announced that total sales for the thirteen weeks ended May 3, 2008 increased 0.1% to $466.3 million from $465.8 million for the thirteen weeks ended May 5, 2007. The company's same store sales decreased 4.3% for the comparable thirteen week period. [jt]
