Republic Airways (RJET) Reports Increase in August Traffic

Republic Airways Holdings (NASDAQ: RJET) reported preliminary passenger traffic results for August 2007. The company generated 813.3 million revenue passenger miles (RPMs), a 30.2% increase over the same month last year, while available seat miles (ASMs) increased 21.5% to 1.03 billion. Block hours were 60,675 in August 2007, a 19.7% increase over August 2006. Load factor was 78.7% versus 73.5% in August 2006. A total of 1,544,291 passengers were carried during the month, a 30.2% increase over the same month last year.
