PLCE Announces Same-Store Sales

The Children's Place (Nasdaq: PLCE) announced total consolidated sales of $126.2 million for the four-week period ended August 27, 2005, a 46% increase compared to sales of $86.5 million reported for August 2004. August sales were comprised of $98.0 million in sales from The Children's Place, a 13% increase over last year, and $28.2 million in sales from Disney Store. Comparable store sales for The Children's Place stores increased 4%, on top of a 21% increase for the same period last year.
