Nordstrom, Inc. (NYSE: JWN) reported preliminary sales of $703.1 million for the five-week period ending April 1, 2006, an increase of 7.0% compared to sales of $657.4 million for the five-week period ending April 2, 2005. Same-store sales increased 4.3%.
Preliminary quarter-to-date sales of $1.20 billion increased 7.1% compared to sales of $1.12 billion in 2005. Quarter-to-date same-store sales increased 4.5%.
