The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc. (Nasdaq: NDAQ) announced its consolidated market performance statistics for the NASDAQ Market Center for the month of June.
NASDAQ's matched market share of all U.S. Equity share volume was 28.7% in June 2007, more than any other U.S. exchange for the second consecutive month. NASDAQ's average daily matched volume in all U.S. securities was a record 1.7 billion shares, an increase of 25.2% from June 2006.
During June, handled market share in NASDAQ-listed securities was 77.0% and matched market share in NASDAQ-listed securities in June was 46.3%.
NASDAQ's matched market share in NYSE-listed securities in June was 15.9%, up from 8.9% a year ago. NASDAQ's handled market share in NYSE-listed securities was 52.5% last month.
NASDAQ's total reported market share of all U.S. ETF volume in June was 52.1%, with 7.1 billion shares changing hands.
For the month, NASDAQ achieved total reported market share of over 30% in 340 NYSE-listed companies priced over $10 with average daily trading volume of more than 1 million shares.
