Mesa Air Group (MESA) Reports Increase in April 2007 Traffic

Mesa Air Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: MESA) reported its preliminary traffic figures for April 2007. Year-over-year available seat miles increased 3.4% in April 2007 to 771 million, compared to 746 million in April 2006. Revenue passenger miles increased 3.9% from 584 million in 2006 to 607 million in 2007. Passenger enplanements increased 14.6% from 1,261,605 in April 2006 to 1,445,865 in April 2007.
"In spite of the difficult operating environment in our Chicago, O'Hare and Washington, Dulles operations, resulting primarily from adverse weather and Air Traffic Control, we are pleased with our overall performance for the month" said Mesa Chairman & CEO Jonathan Ornstein. "We are particularly delighted with our Hawaii operation which achieved a 99.9% total completion factor with only one flight cancellation for the entire month. We would like once again to thank all of our people for their hard work throughout our network, "Mr. Ornstein added.
