Mercedes-Benz USA Reports 22.2% Increase in August Sales

Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) reported August sales of 19,674 vehicles, an increase of 15% for the month, with a 22.2% increase on a year-to-date basis.
On a year-to-date basis, the company sold 144,689 new vehicles, an increase of 22.2 % over last year.
Separately, through the Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned (MBCPO) program, MBUSA sold 6,488 vehicles in August, up 2.7% compared to August 2009 sales of 6,315 vehicles.
Mercedes Benz is owned by Daimler AG (NYSE: DAI).
