McDonald's (MCD) October Sales Fall Short of Views... Again

McDonald's Corp (NYSE: MCD) is lower early Thursday after reporting that global comps in October fell 1.8%, versus expected 1.1% decline.
In the U.S. comps were down 2.2% (Est. -1.1%); Europe down 2.2% (Est. -0.7%); Asia/Pacific, Middle East and Africa down 2.4% (Est. -3%).
"Though October's sales results reflect the pervasive challenges of today's global marketplace, I am confident that our strategies and the adjustments we are making in response to the current business headwinds will build sales momentum and drive sustained, profitable growth," CEO Don Thompson said.
Shares of McDonalds last traded at $86.11, down 0.86%.
