McDonald's (NYSE: MCD) reports same-store sales rose 3.5 percent for the month of August.
US comps rose 3.9 percent, Europe comps rose 2.7 percent and same-store sales in the Asia/Pacific Mid East, Africa segment fell just 0.3 percent.
Systemwide sales during August rose 11.3 percent, or 5.4 percent in constant currencies.
CEO Jim Skinner said, "August marks our 100th consecutive month of global comparable sales growth, demonstrating the ongoing customer appeal of McDonald's great tasting food, offered at an outstanding value in our modern and convenient restaurants."
