McDonald's (MCD) Comps Rise 3.9% During February

McDonald's (NYSE: MCD) reported global same-store sales were up 3.9% during the month of February.

The company reported a 2.7% increase in the US, a 5.1% rise in Europe and a 4% gain in Asia/Pacific, Middle East and Africa.

Systemwide sales for the month increased 8.1%, or 5.2% in constant currencies.

Jim Skinner, CEO of McDonald's, said, "McDonald's commitment to connecting with customers around the world continues to drive our sales performance. When customers visit McDonald's they are looking for great-tasting food that is affordable, convenient and served in a contemporary and inviting atmosphere. We are pleased that more customers are finding their great restaurant experience at McDonald's."
