Macy’s, Inc. (NYSE: M) reports total sales for the month of October were $1.842 billion, up 2 percent from the same period last year. Same-store sales rose 2.2 percent.
For the third quarter of 2011, the company’s total sales were $5.853 billion, an increase of 4.1 percent compared with total sales of $5.623 billion in the same 13-week period last year. The Street sees 5.88 billion.
