Longs Drug Stores (LDG) Reports May Sales
Longs Drug Stores Corporation (NYSE: LDG) reported preliminary total retail drug store sales from continuing operations of $372.9 million for the four-week period ended May 24, 2007, an increase of 2.2% from $364.9 million in the comparable period a year ago. Pharmacy sales were 51.5% of sales compared with 50.1% last year.
Preliminary total retail drug store sales from continuing operations were $1.67 billion for the seventeen weeks ended May 24, 2007, a 4.8% increase from $1.59 billion in the comparable period a year ago. Pharmacy sales were 52.2% of sales compared with 51.1% a year ago.
