Lee Enterprises (LEE) Reports Revenue Growth of 2.7% in December

Lee Enterprises, Incorporated (NYSE: LEE), reported that same property revenue increased 2.7% in December compared with a year ago. Same property advertising revenue increased 2.3%, including online advertising revenue growth of 53.9%.
On a same property basis, which excludes the impact of acquisitions and divestitures made in the current or prior year, retail advertising revenue in December increased 0.3%over a year ago. Classified advertising revenue increased 2.1%, with employment up 4.2%, automotive down 1.1%, real estate down 0.3%, other newspaper classified categories up 2.8%, and classified in non-daily publications up 5.3%. National advertising revenue decreased 0.6%. Niche publication advertising revenue increased 3.8%. Circulation revenue increased 3.7%, reflecting the additional Sunday recorded by a majority of Lee newspapers.
