Kohl's Corporation (KSS) Reports January Sales

Kohl's Corporation (NYSE: KSS) reported sales for the five-week period ended February 3, 2007 increased 46.6% over the four-week period ended January 28, 2006. On a comparable four-week basis, comparable store sales increased 8.7%.

For the 14 weeks ended February 3, 2007, total sales increased 16.7% over the 13 weeks ended January 28, 2006. On a comparable 13-week basis, comparable store sales increased 4.1%.

For the 53 weeks ended February 3, 2007, total sales increased 16.0% over the 52 weeks ended January 28, 2006. Total sales in the fifty-third week were approximately $200 million. On a comparable 52 week basis, comparable store sales increased 5.9%.

January sales were $991.6 million compared to $676.4 million for same period last year. Q4 sales were $5.43 billion compared to $4.65 billion for the same period last year. (Q4 revenue consensus is $5.41 billion)
