Knight Capital Group (NITE) Reports May Volume Stats

Knight Capital Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: NITE) has released its volume statistics for the month of May, 2007.

"Knight's May dollar value and trade volume both rose from April's levels, while share volume decreased," said Thomas M. Joyce, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Knight Capital Group. "The major indices rose in May, but mounting interest in more liquid securities from Knight's clients underscored a 'flight to quality' posture and more defensive market positions."

Average daily dollar value traded in May 2007 was $10.30 billion, up approximately 7.2% from $9.60 billion in April 2007, and up approximately 3.6% from $9.94 billion in May 2006.

Average daily U.S. equity trade volume in May 2007 was 1.2 million, up approximately 2.3% from 1.1 million in April 2007, and up approximately 15.7% from 1.0 million in May 2006.

Average daily U.S. equity share volume was 4.02 billion in May 2007, down approximately 14.3% from 4.70 billion in April 2007, and down approximately 37.8% from 6.46 billion in May 2006.
