Journal Register (JRC) Reports Period Four Revenues
Journal Register Company (NYSE: JRC) reported that total revenues for Period Four, from continuing operations, for the five weeks ended May 6, 2007 were $46.5 million compared to $50.4 million for the five weeks ended April 30, 2006, a decrease of 7.6%. Excluding results from the Michigan cluster, total revenues decreased 5.4% as compared to the prior year period.
Total advertising revenues for Period Four, from continuing operations, were $ 35.8 million compared to $39.5 million.
Continued strong performance from the Company's online operations produced online revenues for Period Four of $1.8 million, a record for the Company, and an increase of 16.1% as compared to Period Four of 2006.
Retail advertising revenues were down 7.9% in Period Four, as compared to the prior year period.
Classified advertising revenues for Period Four decreased 9.8%, as compared to the prior year period.
Total advertising revenues for Period Four, from continuing operations, were $ 35.8 million compared to $39.5 million.
