Journal Communications (JRN) Reports November Revenues

Journal Communications, Inc. (NYSE: JRN) announced that for the eleventh period ended November 19, 2006, total revenues for its Publishing and Broadcast groups of $49.61 million increased 23.0% compared to $40.33 million reported for the eleventh period ended November 20, 2005.

For the eleventh period 2006, advertising revenues of $42.26 million increased 26.2% compared to $33.48 million for the 2005 eleventh period. Both periods contained 28 days.

Both total revenues and advertising revenues for the eleventh period 2006 were impacted positively by the contribution of the new television operations acquired on December 5, 2005. Excluding the new television operations, total revenues were up 10.6% and advertising revenues were up 11.2%.

At the daily newspaper, total advertising revenue was $14.34 million, down 0.2% compared to $14.37 million. At the Broadcasting segment, total revenue at the Company's radio and television stations of $23.21 million increased 66.2% compared to $13.97 million reported for the 2005 eleventh period.
