Journal Communications (JRN) Announces Period 2 Revenues

Journal Communications, Inc. (NYSE: JRN) announced that for the second period ended February 25, 2007, total revenues for its Publishing and Broadcast groups of $39.28 million decreased 3.5% compared to $40.70 million reported for the second period ended February 19, 2006.
For the second period 2007, advertising revenues of $32.64 million decreased 4.6% compared to $34.23 million for the 2006 second period. Both periods contained 28 days.
At the daily newspaper, total advertising revenue was $12.20 million, down 5.0% compared to $12.84 million. At the Company's community newspapers and shoppers operations, total advertising revenue was $4.11 million, down 12.7% compared to $4.70 million.
At the Broadcasting segment, total revenue at the Company's radio and television stations of $16.34 million decreased 2.1% compared to $16.70 million reported for the 2006 second period.
For the second period 2007, advertising revenues of $32.64 million decreased 4.6% compared to $34.23 million for the 2006 second period. Both periods contained 28 days.
