Haverty Furniture (HVT) Reports September Same-Store Sales Increase

Haverty Furniture Companies, Inc. (NYSE: HVT) reported sales for the month September 2006 increased 8.0% to $72.4 million compared with $67.1 million in September 2005.
On a comparable-store basis, September sales increased 6.4%. Comparable-store sales do not include locations opened, closed or otherwise non-comparable during the last 12 months.
Sales for the first nine months of 2006 totaled $643.1 million versus $602.1 million for 2005, representing an increase of 6.8%. On a comparable-store basis, sales increased 5.0% for the first nine months.
