Gymboree (GYMB) Dec Comps Up 15%

The Gymboree Corporation (Nasdaq: GYMB) said December comparable store sales for the five-week period increased 15%.

The Company now anticipates earnings for the fourth fiscal quarter to be in the range of $0.70 to $0.72 per diluted share before the impact of incremental costs and lower gross margin associated with the closure of the Janeville division. The consensus is $0.72.

For the full fiscal year of 2006, the Company expects earnings per diluted share to be in the range of $1.97 to $1.99, before the impact of the Janeville closure, but including stock-based compensation expense of $0.16. The consensus is $1.99.
