Genesee & Wyoming (GWR) Reports March Traffic

Genesee & Wyoming Inc. (NYSE: GWR) traffic in March 2007 was 75,070 carloads, an increase of 2,890 carloads, or 4.0%, compared with March 2006. GWI's traffic in the first quarter of 2007 was 214,033 carloads, an increase of 5,259 carloads, or 2.5%, compared with the first quarter of 2006.

Historically, GWI has found that carload information may be indicative of freight revenues on its railroads, but may not be indicative of total revenues, operating expenses, operating income or net income.
