Franklin Resources, Inc. (Franklin Templeton Investments) (NYSE: BEN) reported preliminary month-end assets under management by the company's subsidiaries of $716.4 billion at August 31, 2011, compared to $747.2 billion at July 31, 2011, and $600.4 billion at August 31, 2010.
