FRED Comparable Stores Sales Rise 2%

Fred's, Inc. (NASDAQ: FRED) retail sales by Company stores for May rose 11%. Fred's total sales for the month also increased 11% to $117.5 million from $106.3 million in May last year. Comparable store sales for the month rose 2.0% compared with an increase of 5.2% in the same period last year.
