FD April Same-Store Sales up 2.8%

Federated Department Stores, Inc. (NYSE: FD) reported total sales of $1.163 billion for the four weeks ended April 30, 2005, an increase in total sales of 2.6 percent compared to total sales of $1.133 billion in the same period last year. On a same-store basis, Federated's April sales were up 2.8 percent.
