Duckwall-ALCO Stores (DUCK) Reports June Same-Store Sales Increase

Duckwall-ALCO Stores, Inc. (Nasdaq: DUCK) announced that its sales from continuing operations for the five weeks ended July 1, 2007 (fiscal month of June) increased approximately 3.6% to $47.6 million compared to $45.9 million in the prior-year month.
June same-store sales increased 1.7%. Excluding fuel sales, June merchandise-only same-store sales increased 2.2%.
Sales year-to-date increased 2.9% to $200.4 million compared to $194.8 million in the prior year, and same-store sales increased 1.1%.
